WATERBURY – Women’s Business Development Council on Wednesday launched its Waterbury-specific grant program, making $10,000 available to eligible local small businesses.
WBDC has been serving state businesses since 1997 and has three other grant programs: the Equity Match Grant for women-owned businesses, the Childcare Business Opportunity Fund and Launch Pad grants for new women-owned businesses.
For the new Waterbury-specific program, eligible businesses must have been in operation for at least a year, be for-profit and registered in Connecticut. The application and more eligibility requirements can be found at ctwbdc.org.
WBDC offers information sessions on the application process. It will host its first one next Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce.
