CT State Funding for Flood Recovery

Helping CT small businesses rebuild after August 2024 flooding

Gov. Ned Lamont, with the CT Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Commissioner Dan O'Keefe, have allocated $5M in state funding to launch a micro-grant program to help small businesses in Fairfield, New Haven and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut rebuild and recover from the record rainfall and flooding impacting the state on August 18th, 2024.

Grants of up to $25,000 will be available for small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Fairfield, Litchfield, and New Haven Counties that experienced damage from the floods. Grants can be used to cover various expenses to help in the recovery, including those associated with cleanup efforts, replenishing lost inventory, and replacing equipment.

The state has partnered with WBDC to administer the grant program. Please be aware: there is no need to pay a consultant to prepare your grant application for you. If you have questions on the application, please email Ct.Flood.Grants@ctwbdc.org and WBDC will answer your questions at no cost.
