WBDC’s 7th Annual Women-Owned Business Day
Sadly, we are postponing what is one of our favorite and most popular events of the year, Women-Owned Business Day, set for April 1 at the Capitol. In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations, it is simply not in anyone’s best interest to hold the event on this date. Our team is working hard to reschedule.
The 7th Annual WBDC Women-Owned Business Day promises to be the most exciting yet!
We will examine the importance of being civically engaged, with particular attention paid to Connecticut’s Paid Family and Medical Leave Act and how it affects you and your business. This landmark legislation was impacted by activists with fierce opinions on both sides of the argument, and ultimately would not have passed were it not for the grass roots efforts of supporters who made their voices heard throughout Hartford.
In this year that we celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, it is important to remember that we all have within us the power to influence the laws that affect our daily lives and the future of our businesses. We just need to put that power to use!
