Jennifer Garcia is the Child Care Program Director at the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC), where she leads programs and services designed to help early childhood education and child care businesses start, grow, and thrive. She brings more than 20 years of experience in business strategy, marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship, with a career spanning corporate leadership, consulting, and small business ownership.
Prior to joining WBDC, Jennifer held senior leadership roles in both direct-to-consumer and B2B organizations, including companies focused on serving educators, children, and families. Through her work with educational publishers and classroom product companies, she developed a deep appreciation for the critical role that educators and child care providers play in supporting children’s development and family success. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for combining strategic thinking with a data-driven approach to drive growth, improve performance, and solve complex business challenges. She also spent three years as a small business owner in Connecticut.
Jennifer holds an MBA in Marketing from Sacred Heart University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. A lifelong Connecticut resident, she is passionate about helping child care entrepreneurs build strong, sustainable businesses that strengthen Connecticut’s families, workforce, and communities.
