From a young age, Vee always had a love for construction. She was born and raised in Ghana, growing up in a family that built major roads and highways in Accra and Kumasi. Her upbringing taught her that one of the best ways to make an impact on life and community is through building and creating jobs. Witnessing how construction could transform entire communities inspired her to pursue a career that combined her passion for development with leadership.
How Women's Business Development Council Helped
Vee has worked extensively with WBDC Business Advisors. She also received an Ignite grant (then named Equity Match Grant) from WBDC in May 2023 and used the funds to purchase a new truck, allowing her and her staff to get to and from construction sites more easily.
When discussing the impact of WBDC on Vase Construction, Vee mentioned, “WBDC’s one-on-one business advising has been tremendous. As a single-member business owner, it’s incredibly helpful to have someone to bounce ideas off of and receive productive input. WBDC support has been invaluable.”
She also said, “WBDC’s commitment to women, by women, is truly incredible. I know that when I reach out, I’m not alone. Their one-on-one business advising has provided me with the guidance I need to make informed decisions for my business.”
