WATERBURY — A nonprofit organization dedicated to helping local women succeed in
business celebrated its arrival in the city’s downtown at a ceremony Tuesday.
The new offices at 132 Grand St. will allow the Women’s Business Development Council to
have a larger physical presence here to carry out its mission of supporting local
entrepreneurs, including its grants program that can provide small business owners with as
much as $10,000 in seed money.
