A great hair day: Manna’s Precision Cuts receives $8,000 grant

Middlebury – Local hairstylist Robin Manna’s business received a leg up this past week when she was awarded an $8,000 grant from an organization dedicated to the success of women entrepreneurs. Manna, a lifelong Waterbury resident, was presented the grant on Thursday during a visit to her Precision Cuts shop at 530 Middlebury Road by representatives of the Women’s Business Development Council. They arrived as part of the WBDC’s “Equity Match Grant Road Show” in which the team is visiting a handful of the nearly 130 women-owned Connecticut businesses that have received much needed support from its grants.
