Thursday, January 23 – Learn from the Past; Plan for the Future – It’s a new year – time to reflect back on 2019 to determine what went well and what didn’t, and to look to the future to plan for success in the coming year. In the first of our 3-part GROW series for this quarter, you’ll have an opportunity to examine the current state of your business and determine how to move ahead with the guidance of WBDC Business Advisors Carol Cheswick and Beth Scarborough. You’ll also have the perspective of fellow entrepreneur, Leyla Dam, who has been successful in expanding her Lorca coffee shop into a booming multi-location business.

Thursday, February 20 – Time to Take Action – Once you’ve identified your business goals are for 2020 in session #1, it’s time to make an action plan that will help ensure that your goals are accomplished. Come to session #2 prepared to present your action plan to a panel of business experts who will provide feedback and advice so that you can revise and refine your plan.

Thursday, March 26 – Pivot or Plow Ahead? – At this point in the year, it’s time to reevaluate. Are you progressing toward the goals you set? Or do you think it may be time to change direction and revise your plans for the future? Come talk through your status with WBDC Business Advisor Carol Cheswick, as well as other business experts and fellow business owners.

Bio: Carol Cheswick is a Business Specialist with the Women's Business Development Council (WBDC). Since joining the organization in 2012, Ms. Cheswick has empowered hundreds of clients through one-on-one counseling on specific business and career challenges. She also teaches GPS – a Guide to Plan for Success, WBDC’s signature business plan development program for aspiring entrepreneurs who seek to start a small business and make their vision a reality, and existing business owners looking to take the next step.
