GPS - a Guide to Plan for Success: Pre-Application

WBDC’s interactive 10-session course is designed for entrepreneurs like you who are interested in gaining a comprehensive understanding of building your business step-by-step. You will emerge from this class with a firm foundation on which you can craft a solid, well-thought-out plan. Each session focuses on a critical aspect of business development, including marketing, finance and legal structures, while giving you time in class to draft components of your business plan. Included in the course is Business Advisory Night, which provides an opportunity for participants to pitch their business concept to an array of business professionals and receive customized feedback about how to move forward.

Class dates: Tues April 21, Thurs April 23, Tues April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19, May 26, June 2, June 9,  and Thurs June 11

Fee: $300

Reduced-fee scholarships are available to those who qualify based on income guidelines.

Eligibility requirements:

In order to participate you must:

  • Be prepared to take the first step in the business planning process for a single business concept
  • Be willing to fully participate in the program, including attending the sessions and completing all necessary assignments and homework
  • Be comfortable using a computer, laptop or tablet
  • Complete an application, including a clear, written business concept
  • Participate in an assessment interview with a WBDC Business Advisor

Bio: Sherry Konwerski founded Bonus Business Services, drawing on her extensive education and experience to help growing businesses achieve their goals. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Accounting and a master’s degree in Business Administration, in addition to twenty-five years of experience for small and large companies in sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, and telecommunications, she brings a full complement of valuable skills to her clients. Throughout her career, she’s leveraged those skills to lead various sales management and business marketing operations, developing a proven track record of outstanding service.
