Join us for a 3-part series that lays the groundwork for helping new and aspiring entrepreneurs launch a business idea and understand the steps to building a business that is credit-ready.

The three modules focus on:

  • Basics of business startup: What you need to consider & prepare for in the early stages
  • Essentials of becoming credit-ready: Where to get money; five C’s of credit; how to prepare a business loan application
  • How and where to find additional small business support and educational resources

Title: Senior Area Manager & Veterans Affair Officer, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) - CT District Office
Bio: Frank Alvarado is responsible for the operation Bridgeport office of the SBA, where he's spent over 5 years. Prior to this, he worked in the economic development field, helping people start and grow businesses. Frank has worked for the City of New Haven, the Spanish American Merchants Association, and as a private consultant.
