Child Care Connections

Expand your network and stay informed of the latest updates for your business.

Stay Connected with Your Community

Being an early childhood educator and business owner is not a journey you should take alone.  Lean on the support of resources in your community to strengthen your program and connect with others on the same journey.  Meet inspiring women while getting the education and resources to provide high-quality early childhood experiences.

Connect with Your Local Child Care Support Agency

Tap into your local child care resource partner to receive OEC-backed program development support to help you grow and improve your program.

Family Homes: There are 6 Staffed Family Child Care Networks (SFCCNs) across Connecticut, providing key quality improvement supports for family child care programs.  These programs are supported by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) and provide coaching, consultation, professional development, access to resources, and buying power so that you can strengthen your program. Joining a Network is free!  WBDC recommends all family child care providers to join their local Network to stay connected with resources in your community.  Click the button below to learn more about these supports and find the one serving your town.

Child Care Centers, Group Homes & License-Exempt Programs: There are 7 Accreditation Quality Improvement Support (AQIS) agencies across Connecticut, providing education quality improvement resources to licensed child care centers, group homes, and license-exempt programs.  AQIS offers access to education, technical assistance, and resources so that you can implement education best practices in your program, including support with becoming NAEYC accredited.
