Business Advisor

Beth Scarborough is an experienced senior business leader with international risk management and regulatory relations experience in organizations undergoing significant change. Beth was most recently the Managing Director and Regulatory Affairs Leader for GE Capital International, based in London.  In this role, Beth had oversight of the relationship with GE Capital’s regulators outside the US and direct responsibility for its relationship with the Prudential Regulation Authority. In her previous role as the Managing Director of Supervisory Affairs for Credit Risk, Beth provided advice and guidance in managing GE Capital’s relationship with its US prudential supervisors and in meeting regulatory expectations, primarily in the areas of risk management and culture.

Before joining GE, Beth spent nearly 18 years with Société Générale in regulatory and risk management roles. These included Head of Regulatory Relations for the US, Head of Credit Risk for the Asia Pacific region (based in Hong Kong), Group Credit Officer for the asset securitization and gaming portfolios, and Chief Operating Officer of the Risk Management Division in the Americas.

Beth received a BA from Wellesley College and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire (UNH). While at UNH, Beth worked with the local Small Business Development Center to counsel entrepreneurs and small businesses in the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire. Beth has also earned the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma.

Beth enjoys being outdoors and tries to make time in her schedule to enjoy rowing, running, biking, hiking, skiing, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
