Janet Johnson

Janet Johnson, MBA joined WBDC in the spring of 2023 to help Waterbury businesses develop and grow. She teaches workshops and provides one-on-one advising sessions to aspiring, emerging, and established business owners.

Janet brings almost 20 years of manufacturing experience to her role as a Business Advisor. Her family opened a factory in 1991 in Waterbury, before relocating it to Naugatuck.

Janet has ten years of experience as a Business Advisor, serving Greater Hartford’s woman-owned and minority-owned companies. Janet has a passion for helping her clients see past challenges and create actionable steps towards starting or revamping their businesses for success. She loves teaching clients how to strategize using their financials and to create efficient systems that save time and money.

As a continual learner, Janet earned her Lean Tools Certificate and became a certified Money Mindset and Business Coach. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Quinnipiac University.
